Tom Middleton - Lifetracks

不敢說是驚為天人，但是，Tom Middleton的才華在我聽完兩首歌之後，幾乎已經給予全然的肯定，專輯中不論是譜曲或是曲目的編列，都可以聽到他的成熟和專業，樂器的編制很清爽卻可以輕易的牽動著聽眾的情緒起伏，華麗而流動的音場更為專輯注入了其特有的風格。不知道有沒有人跟我一樣注意到了最近一則Lexus"白馬踢正步篇"的廣告配樂，每次廣告出現我都在等著，等著那二十幾秒鐘鋼琴獨奏所帶來的唯美沈靜，專輯中第四首歌-Sea Of Glass竟也出現了類似的感覺，這實在是讓我太開心了！

看看這張唱片的名稱，大概也知道在搞什麼鬼了，Samba? Drum&Bass? 這兩種樂風的融合倒是罕見！
其實，它並沒有那麼的鼓打貝斯，應該形容它為 "具有些微鼓打貝斯成份的弛放合輯" 較為精確，從頭到尾充斥著熱情搖曳的拉丁風情，這個部份的強度已經掩蓋掉了絕大部份的Drum&Bass，聽起來就是一派輕鬆、自在，具有非常好的舒壓效果。

Aquibird

繼Clazziquai-酷懶之味之後，經由小熊的推薦，我又認識了一個優質的韓國Acid Jazz團體-Aquibird，不知道是不是因為英倫天團Jamiroquai的影響，兩個韓國樂隊都在團名冠上了類似的發音。這是他們2007年所發行的專輯Daydream(English_Version)，一如我所期待的，明亮、輕快的節奏和旋律滿佈了整張專輯，原來鬱悶、緊湊的上班情緒也因為Daydream而轉變為愉悅無比。對於他們，我沒能再做任何深入的了解，因為相關資訊全是韓文，越看越糊塗，只知道他們的歌曲透過韓劇的播送而走紅。也許是因為K歌文化的關係，亞洲的聽眾族群特別喜歡那種愛到死去活來的情歌，如果做些調整改變，多一些這種甜美、開心的Acid Jazz，生活不就多了一點快樂的氣息嗎？

聽完這張專輯，我第一個時間聯想到的是曾經介紹過的Eluvium - Copia，雖然沒有像當時產生那麼巨大的衝擊，但是，M83的創作亦有著很強烈的吸引力，一個不注意，整個人已經沈浸在祥和、平靜並透露著一絲感傷的氛圍之中。對於我個人來說，電子音樂其存在的價值不外乎：一、以奇幻音色加上節拍的變化讓人達到狂喜熱舞的效應，如電子舞曲。二、如同這張唱片所呈現出來的，以虛幻、超現實的音符引領著聽眾在腦海中建構起一幅又一幅的唯美畫面。

如果你覺得Portishead的Trip Hop過於沈重、Bjork的另類電音過於刁蠻，那麼你應該聽聽看來自加拿大的Trip Hop雙人電音組合-Elsiane，他們的創作集合了上述兩個在樂壇中算是指標性藝人的特色及優點，再加入主唱兼主創作人-Elsieanne Caplette深厚的古典音樂基礎，使得他們的音樂在神祕、飄逸的緩拍慢慢前行之時，仍可在背景中聽到層層堆疊的管弦樂，充滿靈氣的Vocal亦讓歌曲散發出更強烈的Elsiane風格。另外，在專輯中我至少聽到了有兩首歌出現了東方的音樂元素，甚至連舞龍舞獅的敲鑼打鼓聲也被他們取樣運用了，不知道其背後隱藏的意義為何呢？

雖然是爵士樂隊，但是在這張專輯中卻可以聽到許多老搖滾的影子，譬如說將U2的經典歌曲I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For改編為輕鬆寫意的民謠、爵士風，譬如說將吉他調整成搖滾的Tone並以Jimi Hendrix的彈奏方式呈現，開啟了一篇吉他和小喇叭間的即興對話，有一種衝突和奇特的聽覺感受，另外，偶爾出現的一些喇叭獨奏和輕柔鼓點聲也讓專輯在狂野的融合之間，多了一些安詳、靜譪的舒緩氣氛。
