Sadao Watanabe - Super Best

Sadao Watanabe (渡辺貞夫, Watanabe Sadao) is a world class saxophonist with career span from 1950s till now. He's still active and productive, with lots of tours everywhere in his 75 years of age. This is his best album back from 1992, and remastered in 2007. All his best mostly from 80s and 70s. Absolutely gorgeous album, very relaxing and smooth. Some fusion, some reggae-ish, bossa/samba, are here, but they are all in the term of smooth. Not available anywhere else at the moment on the internet... so grab this while it's still hot!

化名為Stryke的Greg Chin，是一位來自邁阿密的House/Trance Producer，這張於德國電音大廠Plastic City旗下所發表的新專輯The Narrowest Of Paths真正讓我見識到了他的音樂才華，圓融流暢的旋律編寫和細膩堆疊的鋪陳手法，讓整張唱片具有高度的完整性，渾然天成、自然而不矯情的氣氛營造好像早在製作之前即已設定好了一般，在為數不少的Plastic City生產之Deep/Tech House作品中讓我留下了非常深刻的印象。

Swing Out Sister - Beautiful Mess

Swing Out Sister，這是個自我開始聽西洋音樂就出現的名字，可是我從來沒有好好的去聽他們的音樂，之前著迷於電子舞曲時，他們那種既輕且慢的拍子，我是無法靜下來好好欣賞的，更早之前，在聽搖滾的那個時代，那就更不可能吞的下去，可能在前奏出來的一分鐘內就會被我以"芭樂歌"定義而停止。在他們出道二三十年之後，意即我已經老到一個程度之後，我終於完整的聽完了一張他們專輯，也就是2008年的這張Beautiful Mess，呵呵～在累積了幾年的Jazz聆聽經驗之後，對他們柔情似水的旋律和輕柔節拍，我已經可以充份享受在其中，而且它將會榮登於我車上的CD箱內，因為，我已經可以想像開車時聽著它的舒服感受。

因為Jaded, I Remember...等單曲的陸續出現，我開始對Deadmau5這位加拿大籍的年輕藝人產生了興趣，於是挖掘了他的一些作品，這張2006的專輯Vexillology是我認為絕對不能錯過的一張電子舞曲佳作，Deadmau5的音樂巧妙的融合了Tech House的節拍和極簡的Minimal編曲方式，雖說簡約卻也能創造出深邃的空間感和一股飽滿能量，有一種屬於他自己的獨特美感。

Paul Oakenfold - Perfecto on Tour 71 - Washington DC

除了07年的精選輯之外，已經很久沒有Paul Oakenfold的消息了，於是就抓了這段Perfecto on Tour 71 - Washington來聽聽，以了解一下這位我一直很欣賞的藝人最近在玩些什麼把戲。

很明顯的，Electro, Tech House的風格已經不只是新一代DJ們的獨愛，就連縱橫舞場十幾年的老將也可以隨時端出幾盤時令新鮮菜來滿足舞客，不過，這一些改變對於Paul Oakenfold是不足為奇的，就說Southern Sun / Ready Steady Go這兩首他的代表作好了，一首是柔美飄逸的Trance，一首則是激進動感的Breaks，卻幾乎在同一個時間誕生了，這說明了他的創作是具有相當地廣度的，這些年來聽了他許許多多的Set，也常在裡面感受到他所帶來的驚喜和創意，甚至於表現的比專輯都出色許多。

Armin Van Buuren發了新碟，順！好聽！這好像是必然的，但是，在這些大咖名角之中，我個人對於Paul Oakenfold新作品的出現會更為期待，因為他所散發出來的搖滾特質似乎更能帶來一些驚奇。

Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd

一個永遠不會被遺忘的南方搖滾團體-Lynyrd Skynyrd，一首每每讓我連聽數次才肯罷休的歌曲-Free Bird，他們屬於愛與和平的七零年代，而七零年代也因為有他們而在近代音樂史上顯得更加榮耀，雖然在那件弔詭的飛機墜毀事件發生之後，Lynyrd Skynyrd已成為歷史的一部份，但是，他們的音樂卻有如經典詩篇般深深地刻畫在一代又一代的搖滾樂迷心中，彷彿他們也曾經和Lynyrd Skynyrd同在一般。

聽過不少怪音樂，自認為對於音樂的想像力還算可以，但是，這張唱片的內容還是超出了我的想像，我還是被這張唱片震懾到有點暈頭轉向...。大量取樣堆疊的音效就像周遭常出現的的White Noise，忽大忽小、時遠時近，當你還在懷疑這是個什麼東西時，這些迷幻、抽象的音樂已經在你腦海中填充了無以數計的段落畫面，擋都擋不住，這些畫面在混亂之中透露著一些安詳、在幸福滿溢的同時卻有一點淒涼，這整個過程、這種百感交集的感覺，和服用了感冒藥後接近關機的前一刻還真像，會讓人忍不住想要一直延續下去。
